I'm joined by Mark and Steve on a 3 night Canadian wilderness canoe camping trip staying on Rosebary Lake in Algonquin Park with one goal, to see moose. We work our way from the Tim Lake Access point and down Tim River. Steve fires up (pun intended) my Bushcraft Essentials Bushbox Twig Stove for his dehydrated lunch from Canadian Tire (who knew they had any?)
**Caution, nerd moment approaching**. I test out a new recorder Mark brought along. The Zoom F6 audio recorder. It's a powerhouse and can record 32Bit at 192kHz using dual A to D encoders, the highest recording quality possible from a portable recorder. I join it with a low noise shotgun mic (Sennheiser MKH 70 P48) and a 5.1 surround sound mic (Holophone H2 Pro) for some beautiful nature sounds. I also brought way to much video gear to get that big moose shot. I also brought along my solo tent to use it for the first time. It is the MSR Carbon Reflex 2.
