The former Convent of Mercy in Ballyjamesduff, built in 1883 and designed by William Hague Jr., served as home to the Sisters of Mercy for over a century.
Today, the building operates as the Cavan County Museum - known for its immersive exhibitions and carefully preserved heritage.
But alongside its official history, staff and visitors have long reported unexplained activity within the former convent: quiet footsteps after hours, cold spots near the old chapel, and sightings of a calm, silent figure in a nun’s habit moving through the corridors.
