Materials

80 meters Red DK yarn (in my examples I have used cotton and Mohair Slan Yarn doubles to create a festive Christmas look).

10 meters Green DK yarn
2 meters fingering weight yellow yarn
Matching sized crochet hook for your yarn ( I have used a 3mm| D)
Yarn needle
Scissors

Gauge: N/A.

Size: With DK cotton yarn and a 3 mm | D crochet hook my Crochet Poinsettia Flower is 20 x 20cm in diameter.

Notes: The flower is made as individual motifs which are each sewn together to make the flower. Total: 3 small bracts, 4 medium bracts, 5 large bracts, 2 green leaves and the central flowers.
