In this practice we develop self-compassion using Dr Kristin Neff's short practice 'The Self-Compassion Break'. This is a useful practice if we have a strong internal critic, shame, depression, anxiety and other difficult states. Practice this technique 3-5 times a day and then use it when you experience difficulties that pull you out of your life and relationships.
