Salento is a 5 - 8 hour bus journey (depending on traffic) from Bogotá in Colombia. It's a lovely crime free little town. One of the things that you can do in Salento is visit one of the little coffee farms about 30 minutes drive from Salento. We hopped on the back of a 'willy' from the town square and spent a lovely few hours in the farm learning about the land and how coffee is produced. The farm we went to was called Arzacia and is certainly one of the smallest that you can visit compared to the big farms like El Ocaso.
