祢的應許《Your Promise》【原創聖誕音樂劇】【嘉義浸信會聖誕晚會】《2024/12/21》

這首歌是寫給約瑟的歌曲，是接續上一首馬利亞的歌:『我心尊主為大』之後的故事。當時馬利亞已經和約瑟訂了婚約，但還沒有迎娶。有一天，天使向馬利亞顯現，告訴她將要懷孕生子。雖然馬利亞已經與大衛家約瑟訂了婚，還是還沒有迎娶，馬利亞懷孕的這件事，很快就傳到他的丈夫約瑟的耳中，約瑟感到震驚、失望與難過，因為他認為他的妻子對他不忠，因而未婚懷孕。然而，約瑟知道若這件事情若傳出去，以當時的律法，馬利亞會被眾人以石頭打死。約瑟內心十分的掙扎，後來他決定不要在大庭廣眾羞辱她，而是要暗暗的跟她解除婚約。正當約瑟在思想這件事的時候，有上帝的使者在約瑟的夢中顯現，說：大衛的子孫約瑟，不要怕！只管娶過你的妻子馬利亞來，因她所懷的孕是從聖靈來的。他將要生一個兒子，你要給他取名叫耶穌，因他要將自己的百姓從罪惡裡救出來。這一切的事成就是要應驗上帝藉著先知所說的話：『必有童女懷孕生子；人要稱他的名為以馬內利。』
當約瑟從夢中醒來後，他就按照天使告訴他的去做，娶了瑪麗亞，這時約瑟終於明白，這是上帝美好的旨意，上帝要透過馬利亞和約瑟，完成一個偉大的救贖計畫。於是他向神獻上禱告與讚美，相信上帝必要按著祂美好的心意成就奇妙的作為與豐盛的應許…。

This song is written for Joseph and continues the story following the previous song, "My Soul Magnifies the Lord." At that time, Mary was betrothed to Joseph but had not yet been married. One day, an angel appeared to Mary and told her she would conceive and give birth to a son. Although Mary was engaged to Joseph of the house of David, she was not yet married, and the news of her pregnancy soon reached Joseph. Joseph was shocked, disappointed, and deeply saddened, believing that Mary had been unfaithful and had become pregnant out of wedlock.
Joseph also knew that if this matter became public, according to the law of the time, Mary would be stoned to death by the people. Struggling with his emotions, Joseph decided not to publicly disgrace her but to quietly dissolve the engagement. While he was considering this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give Him the name Jesus, because He will save His people from their sins."
All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: "The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call Him Emmanuel."
When Joseph woke up, he did as the angel of the Lord had commanded and took Mary as his wife. It was then that Joseph realized this was part of God's beautiful plan. God was going to accomplish a great work of redemption through Mary and Joseph. Joseph responded with prayer and praise, trusting that God would fulfill His wondrous works and abundant promises according to His perfect will.
