Melanie Penelope - Whispers (Acoustic) Full EP

New EP who dis 💿😭 This EP has been the impossible thing just out of reach for me for like... a decade. Which sounds like a long time because it is a long time. Haha. I thought I'd have an EP out before I graduated college for Pete's sake! Last year, I couldn't take it anymore and I shifted gears to a single. That momentum helped me immensely to GET OVER IT. It wasn't the single I had in mind at all, but once it was out I felt some of the weight lift.

Same kinda approach with this EP... I had so many different ideas for what it would be over the years, half recordings abandoned, different concepts scrawled in notebooks, yadda yadda. But this year I thought, ENOUGH, another year cannot go by without FINISHING THIS. So I reverted the plan back to (new recordings of) these original songs that got me started. Even then, it was still challenging, but it became achievable.

I know as a listener you are probably like, "nobody cares about that, just make music!" And you are so right. But I really needed this W on a personal level and I am so relieved. Every step I take to finish my work makes me feel like I am fixing my life.

Whether these tunes resonate with people or not, I feel triumphant. HAHA, I know that is dramatic to say! But I really mean it. Oh thank you God, it's finally done!!!
