2024 Chengdu China trip with little kids for good food, pandas, Sichuan opera and so much more

Currently the shortest direct flight from Germany to Chengdu is FRA to TFU from Air China, about 10 hours going and 11 hours coming back to Frankfurt. If you book early enough, you might get its normal discount class price around 800¬850EUR.

Flying with kids can be very challenging, especially when both kids cannot find a comfortable position to fall asleep or relax. So be prepared, have a good rest before the flight, and buy an inflatable foot rest, it might help the little ones to lay somewhat flat and rest their legs.

China has been promoting digital wallets since many years, therefore not many people use cash or credit cards, although still considered acceptable payment methods. Popular digital wallets are WeChat Pay, or Alipay. To set up these two, you can check out plenty of other videos out there to teach you why and how.

To get around is super easy, if you have downloaded at least one of the following apps: WeChat, DiDi, Baidu Map. There are of course many many other apps, but with these 3 set up right in your phone, you will be getting around in China with no problems at all. I remember once sitting in our Chinese Uber (Didi) enjoying cool air blasted from AC while outside must have been 31-33C, then our car passed this foreign family of 3 little kids (prob between 5-10 years old) crossing the big street, looking so tired and upset. Too bad we couldn't stop to help them, I felt so bad for them.
