El 24 de Agosto de 1997 en el estadio Nacional de Lima se realizo el partido de despedida de Cesar Cueto (El poeta de la zurda) de la seleccion Peruana, enfrentando a Colombia. Elpartido terminaria con triunfo Peruano 2-1 y en donde Cueto realizo una magica asistencia de "taquito" al "Chino" Pereda para poner el 2 -1. (Fuente: Resumen del programa Tele Deportes, 1997)
On August 24, 1997, the farewell match of Cesar Cueto (The Left-footed Poet) of the Peruvian national team took place at the National Stadium in Lima, facing Colombia.
