Shital Pati— acknowledged by UNESCO on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, has been the theme of the 15th International Inter University Short Film Festival-IIUSFF.
In search of the roots of this native art, a documentary endeavor by Dhaka University Film Society has taken us to the home of master craftsman, Gitesh Chandra Das, who reflects on his lifelong dedication to weaving Shital Pati, and the challenges facing him and his community today.
