USCIS’s August 1, 2025 Policy Changes Explained: Interviews, NTAs & Fraud Crackdowns 📅📢
Big changes have arrived for family-based immigration cases. On August 1, 2025, USCIS updated its policy manual with new rules that could impact thousands of families. In this video, I break down:
• Expanded interview requirements 🗣️ – More situations will now trigger an in-person interview for family-based petitions, especially marriage-based green cards.
• Approval ≠ Legal Status ⚠️ – Even if your I-130 petition is approved, USCIS can still issue a Notice to Appear (NTA) and place you in removal proceedings.
• Tougher fraud detection 🔍 – Officers will conduct deeper document verification, cross-check prior filings, and scrutinize repeat spousal petitioners more closely.
If you’re filing for a spouse, already in the process, or have prior immigration issues, you need to understand these changes and how they could affect your case.
