In this video I test the Mako 10.5 grain slugs from Precision Ballistics though my Custom Retay T20. Out of the five rifles tested so far, this one didn't suit the slugs. I also tried the Wildman 13 grain slugs through it, which didn't suit it either. Other pellets used were the H&N Baracuda Match and H&N Field target trophy which worked well. I also tried the RWS Power Bolt. Although I had a tight group from six of the projectiles, I also had five flyers, which messed things up for the RWS Power Bolt pellets.
In the video that follows this one, I go back to the Falcon Prairie which gave some of my best groups that I have ever shot out to 50 yards. The Mako slugs outshot the H&N Baracuda Match by a long way, which is highly unusual for a slug over such a good pellet.
This just goes to show that both pellets and slugs have to suit your rifles barrel to obtain the best results, and without testing them, you'll never know. I would definitely recommend the Precision Ballistic slugs at 10.5 grains. They did well in four out of the five rifles tested so far, and compete highly with other slug brand alternatives out there.
