Who other than Michael Posch, a great Austrian musician, could interpret the repertoire of the South Tyrolean Minnesängers in such a wonderful way? In this album from 2004, but unfortunately out of stock everywhere in its physical format, we have some of the most beautiful melodies from the German, Austrian and South Tyrolean Middle Ages (these are all modern borders, once upon a time - you know well - things were different and perhaps one day they will change again).
The interpretation is decidedly genuine and captivating, but not romanticized and pompous. In my opinion it can be compared to the Minnesänger interpretations of the great, and unsurpassed, Eberard Kummer (   • The last medieval musicians - Eberhard Kum...   ).
Concerning the video: I used photos of the splendid Castel Runkelstein in Bolzano which, with its cycle of frescoes, represents one of the most beautiful and evocative castles in northern Italy.
