The Contaminant Boomerang – what we use comes back to hurt us | Tracie Baker | TEDxDetroit

Автор: TEDx Talks

Загружено: 2019-12-11

Описание:

Human-made contaminants have long-lasting impacts even on the health of our unborn grandchildren. We can no longer afford “the solution to pollution is dilution” paradigm. We need to create a culture of long-term thinking, environmental justice, and common sense solutions.
Tracie Baker is faculty at Wayne State University and has earned degrees in marine biology, veterinary medicine, and environmental toxicology. Her lab focuses on multidisciplinary, translational research that bridges human, animal, and environmental health. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
