After driving 41,000 kilometers across four continents, we finally rolled into Kolkata, India — the last 20 km of an epic journey that started in Maryland, USA with our Toyota Tundra, Shehzadi.
This was no ordinary road trip. Shehzadi carried us from the USA to the Republic of Georgia, down to Morocco in Africa, back across Europe, then eastward through Russia, Central Asia, and China, before crossing into Nepal and finally reaching India.
These last kilometers — from Bally Bridge through VIP Road, Salt Lake, Vidyasagar, and BD Block — might look like city traffic on the dashcam, but for us, it was the finish line of a dream. The Silk Road brought us deserts, mountains, bazaars, monasteries, and memories we’ll never forget. And here we were, crawling through Kolkata’s chaos with the same excitement as the first day on the road.
Shehzadi is dirty, dusty, and proud — and so are we. This drive proved that the world is connected, one road at a time.
