Our journey through Riemvasmaak, after a long drive from Rietfontein, proved to be an incredibly rewarding experience. The role of the Roman Catholic Church in the establishment of the area was truly fascinating. However, our adventure didn't end there. We embarked on a thrilling drive towards the hot springs nestled at the bottom of the canyon in the dry Molopo River bed. The rugged terrain tested our driving skills, but the adrenaline rush and breathtaking scenery were well worth the effort. Arriving at the hot springs was nothing short of awe-inspiring. After indulging in the rejuvenating experience, we reluctantly left the canyon behind and continued our drive towards our accommodation in Augrabies. The next morning we drove out on the Vredesvallei road and visited the spillway in the Orange River. This was another fantastic sight to behold.
