Peter is back with a new suit that looks SO GOOD. The lining, the web shooters, the eyes, the logo not being so damn small I gotta squint to see it. Punisher and Hulk will be in this movie… MAN WHAT The Punisher will be having high tech and a tank to combat Spider-Man, meaning we’re probably gonna see these two fight or at least clash heads once in the film. The Hulks role is still unclear, but he's probably either gonna be a mentor figure like the other mcu heroes that were in the other spiderman films, or a threat Punisher and Peter have to stop. The villain of this movie more than likely will be Mr Negative with Scorpion having a secondary villain role. We apparently got confirmation on a Mr Negative truck being shown, so I'm assuming he's at least being introduced in the movie. And Scorpion is for sure arriving onto the big screen which is exciting to see. We’re also getting minor villains like Tarantula and some other d listers. MJ is in the movie but not in any of the action scene settings, she’ll probably have her own focused stuff on the side. Now this movie has very little information that is actually confirmed about it, but the amount of rumors and anticipation for this movie is ridiculous. We got to the point where we were told Brand New Day was going to be multiverse in scale once again. But now we’re being told a grounded story…. While Spiderman may or may not potentially fight Hulk in the same movie. Which definitely scares me as we need this Peter not fighting guys like Thanos or known powerful foes in the marvel cinematic universe. And so when you have him fighting the Hulk, I feel nothing but good fan service will come out of this part of the film. The MCU weirdly has been incorporating the hulk a lot more in this phase, especially with projects like brave new world. So it makes me even more confused that we’re once again getting a hulk side plot in a movie where the hulk is completely unrelated. And we all saw how that went for brave new world. I hope this movie is in fact grounded in scale, and they make it so Hulk is like super nerfed and trying to fight against Mr Negative's mind games, allowing Peter and Punisher to team up and fight down the Green Bastard. Punisher being here is pretty neat since hes fought Spiderman in the past in the comics, and we’re apparently getting a special of him that takes place right before this movie, so I’m excited to see where this character is going to go. Hulks' role scares me the most BUT if they manage to use him sparingly and not like how Iron Man and Strange were used, then honestly I wouldn’t be too upset. This movie has a lot to offer considering we’re dealing with a Peter who has a lot of mental baggage, he’s starting from basically square zero, and now you’re putting this new and “more grounded Spiderman” in a movie with Scorpion, Mr Negative, the Punisher with a tank, and Hulk? It’s just very off putting hearing that Hulk will be in this movie but I’m not going to check out mentally before the movie's release obviously. Mr Negative and Scorpion are two villains I really can’t speak much on as I’m not particularly huge fans of either character. Mr Negative is someone who’s been getting love in recent years as he was apart of both Spidey Games, with him showing us what potentially a Mr Negative on screen could do for Peter. I feel if they’re doing the street villain route, you can mainly paint to the negative zone illusions that Peter undergoes in the first Ps4 game. This can give you an easy way to be like “hey remember the other movies” and just have Peter going through utter despair. Seriously though this Spiderman has suffered through a lot, even in comparison to other Spidermen in the comics. It’d be such a waste here to not take advantage and have these terrible events Peter endured, coming back to haunt him. Scorpion as well I feel can really add to this considering he’s one of Spider-Man’s coldest villains. And I don’t mean that as in “he’s so cold bro” no, like this man just does what he does for the love of the game. You can have Peter be put in a similar position to No Way Home, where he may have to kill Scorpion, but this could also be a powerful moment for Peter to understand that he has to be responsible with this power he was given, and learn from the mistake he made from before. However because it is MCU related, the studio may or may not kill this film with its set up for future projects, or cringe jokes from Mark Ruffalo. I generally hope the MCU stuff is kept to a minimum; and we’re able to progress this new version of Spider-Man into a brand new day.
