After several days of hiking on the east side of Triglav National Park, we were finally ready for our thru-hike on the Slovenian stages of the Alpe Adria Trail. We've learned from previous treks that we usually add on at least 10 km of exploring at the end of each day, so now we hike shorter daily distances. So Stage 23 is in two parts. And we're happy we did it as we spent the afternoon exploring a trail option for the next day's hike to Trenta - without our heavy packs! And Erjavceva Hut is absolutely fabulous!
