🏰 The Location:

We’re running through Towneley Park, and the start line is right in front of the massive Towneley Hall. Seriously, this 14th-century backdrop gives the whole event a unique vibe. It makes running here feel brilliant—it's history, but make it a 5k.

⛰️ The Course and Footwear

This is a two-lap loop, mostly on good, solid path. The terrain is a mix of tarmac and well-packed trail. The highlight (or lowlight, depending on your energy!) is the climb up to the Hall on each lap. It’s a proper incline, but hey, you earn that post-run brew!
"Footwear-wise, unless we’ve had a biblical downpour, stick with your standard road runners. The paths are solid, so save the muddy trail shoes. If you want a fast time, the course is built for it.

🅿️ Facilities

Car Parking: There’s ample parking at the Riverside car park right by the finish, which is awesome. Just a heads-up, it is pay-and-display, so grab some coins—or get your mate to check the app!
Toilets & Cafe: Bet! They’ve got everything you need. Toilets are right there in the main car park block, and the finish funnel is practically glued to the Rotunda Café. Coffee, cake, and conversation are guaranteed.
