On the seventeenth day of my summer 2024 cycling tour, I leave Sweden and take the ferry from Gothenburg to Frederikshavn. I cross the Limjord Bridge near Aalborg and cycle south along the fjord in the evening light. Although my strength is slowly dwindling, I enjoy the journey through the Danish countryside and pass through towns such as Viborg, Kolding, Haderslev and Aabenraa. But instead of continuing the journey to Hamburg as planned, I break off in Flensburg and take the train.
