From vibrant dresses and elegant hats to handbags and shoes, items once owned by the late Princess Diana are set to go under the hammer this month in what Julien's Auctions calls the largest collection of her fashion ever offered at auction. The live and online sale, titled "Princess Diana's Style & A Royal Collection," will be held on June 26 at The Peninsula Beverly Hills. It will showcase a stunning selection of fashion pieces Diana famously wore. Among the standout items is a 1988 silk floral dress by Bellville Sassoon, known as the "caring dress" because Diana often wore it during hospital visits. This piece is estimated to fetch between $200,000 and $300,000. Also featured is a cream silk embroidered evening gown designed by Catherine Walker for Diana’s 1986 Gulf tour, carrying a similar price estimate. Additionally, a two-piece yellow floral ensemble by Bruce Oldfield, worn by Diana at Royal Ascot in 1987, is expected to sell for $100,000 to $200,000. Watch the video for more.
