Delivery of new Allen Organ Q-410 four-manual church organ to Bryn Athyn Cathedral, Bryn Athyn Pennsylvania. This new addition allows for more flexibility with more space for musicians and the choir. Their vintage 1974 Schlicker organ was recently replaced, through a generous gift, by a E.M.Skinner pipe organ at the front of the Nave. A third instrument, also an Allen, can be moved throughout the Sanctuary. It can play on it's on, or be used to play the large 97-stop Allen 4-manual through a flexible MIDI system installed at the front and back. Graham Bier- director of music, and Terry Schnarr- primary organist are using all the instruments to full advantage through their active music program!! Shown in this video is Mr. Rudolph Lucente playing the first chords heard in the Cathedral from this beautiful instrument. Rudy, the music director and organist at a local North Penn church, is one of four organists of the renown Philadelphia Organ Quartet and the longest standing assistant organist of the famous Wanamaker Organ in Macy's of Philadelphia.
