Lincoln Locomotive - UP 1616 "Abraham Lincoln" arrives at the College World Series in Omaha, NE

6/10/2025 - Earlier this year, Union Pacific unveiled their newest commemorative locomotive: UP 1616 - celebrating the United States' 16th president, Abraham Lincoln. UP has a tradition of displaying a locomotive at the Charles Schwab Field in downtown Omaha, NE for the annual College World Series event. Naturally, UP 1616 was selected for display this year, and on the morning on June 10th it helped out with the passenger train move from Council Bluffs, IA to the display site in Omaha. UP 1616, dubbed the "Lincoln Locomotive" will be on display until the end of the CWS on June 22nd.

Timestamps:
(00:01) - after shoving onto the BNSF at 7th Street in Omaha, UP 1616 pulls the lengthy CWS train down towards the BN's Gibson Yard to access the Omaha Industrial Lead up to the baseball stadium. UP 4533 brings up the rear.

(2:07) - Now on the Omaha Industrial Lead, UP 4533 is leading the charge north towards the stadium after stopping to check on some red boards at Douglas Street.

(5:27) - UP 1616 in the lead again as they begin to spot the passenger cars by the stadium.

(6:33) - Cars now spotted, UP 1616 and the flag car UPP 5769 move into position on the display track.
