In this video, we demonstrate how to build and solve a heat transfer problem involving both conduction and convection using the Nonisothermal Flow multiphysics coupling in COMSOL Multiphysics. The example focuses on a stainless-steel MEMS heat exchanger, commonly found in lab-on-a-chip devices used in biotechnology and microreactors like those in micro fuel cells. We'll explore the heat exchanger in a 3D model, examining the details of heat transfer through both convection and conduction.
