I wrote this song years ago... at a time when i was completely burnt out.
There’s nothing quite like reaching the top of your chosen field in your early 20s… seeing it clearly for what it is, only to realize it’s not what you truly wanted. But my worth isn’t tied to that anymore... It never should have been. No thanks.

working too hard to find your success what are you rushing for the finish line’s death cause even when you find what you’re looking for more will come knocking on the next door speak out now ask for help say it out loud empower someone else i know there are people who look to hearts like mine but it’s far from perfect it’s hard for me to feel satisfied but i’ve been working really hard to let myself shine shame is the illusion as long as you’re a good person and you grow through time i’m enough as i am the therapist asked if i grew up in a cult i just laughed it off like it was no one’s fault see you’ve got your story and i’ve got mine i’ve found no one really cares just live your life cause if a ghost dies nobody cries they simply go on move on in their lives so i write songs for myself but i still really hope they’ll find someone else i know there are people who look to hearts like mine but it’s far from perfect it’s hard for me to feel satisfied but i’ve been working really hard to let myself shine shame is the illusion as long as you’re a good person and you grow through time i’m enough as i am you’re enough as you are you don’t have to try so hard
