The brand new 111 St station has received artwork for the first time ever, since its opening in 1925. The 6 metallic installations are based off of the unique attractions of Flushing Meadows-Corona Park. The Unisphere, The Queens Theater, The New York State Pavilion and its towers, the Rocket Thrower and the New York Hall of Science building. It truly brings out the meaning of the neighborhood and why the area of Flushing Meadows is so special. This artwork was designed by Marco Gallotta and was installed on Sept 12th 2025.
