Every year on Remembrance Day the J.P. Fell Pipe Band in North Vancouver parades from the Armouries to the memorial service and return. They travel by bus to visit and perform in Royal Canadian Legions on the North Shore. 2018 was the Centennial of the end of World War I, and the H.M.C.S. Vancouver of the Royal Canadian Navy was docked at a pier. With a last minute detour the band boarded the ship and played several selections.
