I’m at our production site today working on a new batch of mead, and it reminded me how closely the process mirrors creativity. Every project I take on seems to move through the same four stages:
Start the work.
That burst of energy and activity—gathering ingredients, ideas, supplies.
Sustain the work.
The excitement settles, and consistency keeps things moving forward.
Let time work.
Some progress can’t be forced. Aging improves the mead, and waiting often improves our ideas.
Let it work in others.
The real finish line isn’t bottling day—it’s when someone else gets to experience what we made.
