A Broken Bow musician is pleading for the return of a priceless guitar stolen after his performance at the Westbound Club in Tulsa. The custom red-and-black guitar wasn’t bought — it was built by Cameron Overturf and his father over three months, the only hands-on project the two ever completed together.
Cameron says the guitar has little monetary value to anyone else, but to him, it represents his dad, their bond, and his ability to keep performing after arm surgery. It was the only guitar he can physically play right now.
The guitar was taken from the side of the stage after his show Saturday night. Cameron has filed a police report, but his biggest fear is that the thief will realize it’s not worth much and toss it aside.
Cameron isn’t seeking charges; he just wants the guitar back.
