Röda Kapellet was a band closely connected with the Swedish parliamentary communist party VPK (Vänsterpartiet Kommunisterna) in the 1970s. Gå med i KU, stärk VPK (Join the Communist Youth, Strengthen the Communist Party) is an appeal to join Kommunistisk Ungdom (The Communist Youth), the youth wing of the party. It has since become famous for its sudden tempo changes, and for being an all-around great song in the tradition of Swedish communist music.
