Following my previous Goldeneye opening titles with Timothy Dalton, I have thought more and more about what could have taken place had he continued further into Brosnan's era.
The number of cast changes is slightly smaller with the biggest changes being the inclusion of Michael Kitchen who was absent originally, Anthony Hopkins who was lined up to play Elliot Carver, David Hedison and Caroline Bliss returning as Felix and Moneypenny respectively and finally the return of Maryam d'Abo as Kara Milovy (or Kara Carver which I'm sure Bond would make a joke about).
As Tomorrow Never Dies came out 10 years after The Living Daylights, and that the character's death would be much more impactful had it been a previous Bond girl, I decided to choose Kara who seemed the clearer choice when it came down to picking between her and Pam Bouvier.
Not much else has changed aside from those cast changes aside from the music. I decided to keep David Arnold as the main composer (in this reality he would have impressed producers with the Play Dead theme song from Goldeneye) and just used the rejected theme song from Swan Lee. Although this was released a few years later, we don't know how much this changed from the original version. I was close to using Surrender as it does fit more with Dalton however I think I prefer Swan Lee's Tomorrow Never Dies.
Again I thought this would take a while to do but I ended up doing most of it in one go so it's been another fun project to do!
