Here it is! The long-awaited redesign of the best-selling vehicle in America that isn’t a pickup truck! This is the redesigned 2026 #ToyotaRAV4 and #Toyota had 3 trims for us to see in person, the luxurious #RAV4Limited, the off-road ready #RAV4Woodland, and the and first-ever #RAV4GRSport! @toyotausa is going all in on the #RAV4Hybrid this year, just like the new Camry, with the base 2.5L gas engine dropped for this new 6th generation. For 2026, the base engine will now be the 5th generation of the latest Hybrid drivetrain, which comes a 2.5L DOHC 4-cyl with either 2 or 3 electric motors and an eCVT. Tuned to produce 226 HP on the new FWD model, with AWD increasing that output to 236 HP. That’s a healthy increase over the 219 HP in the previous generation. The upgraded engine will be the latest #RAV4 #PlugInHybrid, which now gets 20% more all electric range courtesy of a bigger battery pack, good for up to 50 miles (up from 42). Toyota also turns the wick up on power, with the RAV4 PHEV now pumping out a combined 320 HP (up from 302). We don’t know what the actual fuel economy numbers will be for now, but we expect it to be better than the 36-39 MPG combined ratings of the previous generation. On the outside, the new RAV4 debuts Toyota’s hammerhead design LED headlights with wheels ranging in size from 17” to 20” on the new #GRSport trim. The #PHEV powertrain comes exclusively with AWD and can now be had on 4 grades, carrying over on the SE and XSE, but it’s also available on the Woodland and standard on the GR Sport. Towing capacity has increased to 3,500 lbs on most AWD Hybrid trims. On the inside, buyers get a choice of either a 10.5” or an upgraded 12.9” center display while the drivers display will now include the fully digital 12.3” cluster on all trim levels. The software is also an upgraded version of the Toyota Audio Multimedia system enabled by Arene, a new software development platform created by Woven for Toyota. It’ll have standard wireless phone connectivity and OTA with natural voice commands. The redesigned RAV4 goes on sale this Fall! No word on pricing, but we expect it to be higher than the $32k base price for the current Hybrid RAV4!
