Heiwa no Chikai or Oath of Peace, is relatively a phenomenon. When writing this section, it was hard to find information about this song as it went under the rug for many years. Former SDF personnel either heard this song every morning or not at all for their 30+ years of service. There’s another version of this march from 1982 from a SDF music festival, which can be seen here or on NicoNico. Some consider this the time it was actually created. This arrangement was made by Takeshi Teruchi and sung by Keisuke Okada, which I am unable to find a date, but my guess is late 80’s-90’s. The lyrics are believed to have been made by Okada and are still stuck to this day. There’s a modern rendition of this I remember seeing on YouTube, but I am unable to find it, if you’re able to, please email me, I would love to add it here.
