In the shadow of the Orpheus Rocks, where pine trees whisper and the first snow clings to fallen leaves, two Thracian hunters face a test older than kingship. The elder, armed with a curved romphaia and crescent shield, stands firm against a snarling pack of wolves, while the youth pulls their prize—a stag felled by arrow—toward safety. Among the Thracians, hunting was not mere survival but a rite of passage, a measure of courage and skill.
