The Global Confluence Summit 2025: Celebrating Purpose, Prosperity, and Women's Leadership, hosted by MAHE Bengaluru in partnership with AWAKE, GCPIT, and other key industry leaders, commenced with a warm welcome celebrating purpose, prosperity, and women's leadership as forces for change. The event united six parallel summits: GMSMES2025, GWBLS2025, GCDS2025, GPSCMS2025, GSDS2025, and GBSS2025. The opening underscored Bengaluru's vital role as a hub for innovation and global collaboration.
Summit Inception and Dignitary Welcome
The summit began with a soulful invocation, setting a focused tone. Distinguished dignitaries, including Smt. Uma Reddy (President, FKCCI), Smt. Gunjan Krishna, IAS (Commissioner for Industrial Development), and Dr. Prema K V. (Joint Director, MIT Bengaluru), were invited on stage.

Ms. Hema Malini, Honorary Secretary of AWAKE, provided an overview, noting the collaboration with GCPIT to bring together PSUs, corporates, MSMEs, and government bodies. The following day was scheduled for supply chain-focused sessions with major corporations. The summit featured about 50 exhibitor stalls showcasing innovations by MSMEs, underscoring its B2B focus. Keynote: Shrimati Uma Reddy, President FKCCI
Shrimati Uma Reddy's keynote address acknowledged the massive scale of MSMEs in India, citing that 97% are Micro Enterprises (approx. 7.5 crore registrations). She stressed the critical need for policy focus on micro and small enterprises within the MSME umbrella. Reflecting on the slow but steady growth of women-owned enterprises, she noted an increase from 10–12% decades ago to approximately 15–20% today.

Dr. Prema KV, Joint Director, MIT Bengaluru, reinforced the mission, emphasizing that women's empowerment is not just social equity but a key to unlocking global economic potential. Citing research, she noted that companies with gender-diverse executive teams outperform peers financially. She called for collective efforts to overcome barriers like the "broken rung" effect and build an inclusive, innovative world.
