Preserving My 2002 IHRA Championship Dragster (Not a Restoration)

This episode documents the preservation of my 2002 IHRA Championship-winning Top Fuel dragster as we begin reassembly after powder coating. This is not a restoration—it’s a preservation of a championship race car.
If you’ve been following along, you’ve already seen me rescue two of my IHRA Championship-winning dragsters and tear down my 2002 championship car—a car that won a lot of races and played a major role in my career.
In this episode, we pick the car up from powder coating and begin the reassembly process. Along the way, something hit me.
This is not a restoration.
This is a preservation.
This car is a piece of history—from my history—and it deserves to be treated that way.
Before filming, I asked for questions on my social media accounts. During the reassembly, I stop to answer many of them. Some answers turn into longer, more detailed explanations and bring back stories from this car’s racing days—stories I haven’t told in a long time.
This episode is part reassembly, part Q&A, and part storytelling, all focused on preserving an important championship dragster the as it was.
