John Peel - His Fans Could NOT Believe What He Did

So what about John Peel a BBC DJ. ? He still is loved by so many in Britain, but shockingly the truth about the man was ignored for years. His many followers struggle, even today, to believe the stories about a man so well respected for his smooth delivery and musical knowledge .

The longest serving BBC DJ, Peel was employed from 1967 to 2004. Peel was seen as an icon; trouble is he was on an extremely high pedestal, despite his affection for under age girls. His knowledge of music and understanding of the industry was second to none; he was genuinely respected. He was at the vanguard of punk and he spotted a few up and coming bands, that went on to have very successful careers.

He was arguably though a sex pest who preyed on young teenage girls. This wasn't seen to be a fact that should be brought up, whilst he was alive (many felt not even after his death). No one seemed bothered despite very real facts and even his own words seemed to be ignored by most fans.

Born 1939 and died in 2004. For many years he was regarded as a ''National Treasure'' (by the BBC).

How come his paedophilia was virtually ignored by most people ? How come he didn't suffer the same fate as Jimmy Savile, another Radio 1 DJ as well as appearing on Top of the Pops, Peel was regarded as a top music commentator; an afficianado of rock and punk music and new talent music spotter. But he also liked to have sex with under 16s too. This is well documented.

He died in 2004 and missed the ''Me Too'' movement of the 2015s and the revelations that cascaded out after Jimmy Savile's death in 2011. Many were swept up in a tide of moral outrage but Peel was already dead, so escaped any major examination.

Why does the BBC produce so much moral corruption ? How much more lies, falsehoods and horrible broadcasters can it actually produce ? If the fruit is corrupt, the main tree must also be corrupt. How can its lies be acceptable to us all in 2025 and beyond? How much more moral filth will it produce ? Peel was a lodestone, a sort of ''market leader'' at the BBC, an alternative softly spoken hedonist who sought to satiate his lust by corrupting children.

His first wife he married in 1967 in the USA, later committed suicide; she was 15 years old he was 25 years old when they married . A sad end to a tragic little known life. Peel's fame and iconic status, has saved his reputation, somewhat. It was only in 2023 that the ''Peel Stage'' name at Glastonbury was quietly dropped as his name had slowly become unacceptable.
