I don't have a drive gate, but I really wanted to be able to get a vehicle in my back yard. This is how I modified my wood fence with galvanized steel 2 3/8 posts so that I could drive through, without building or buying a new gate. Hopefully this video gives you an idea how you can modify your own fence to suit your needs.
Materials:
2 inch galvanized conduit. (Make sure Outside diameter is 2 inch! Not inside diameter).
3 inch 3/8 galvanized bolts with lock washers and nuts.
Tools:
3/8 drill bit
Drill
Phillips bit or Phillips screwdriver.
Saw to cut posts
