Join Archie Roach sharing the songs and stories behind his multi award winning 1990 debut album Charcoal Lane. In Ep 16 Archie talks about his song, Munjana, inspired by Beverley Whyman, the mother of Russell Moore, who was taken from Beverley as a baby, adopted out and taken over to America. He ended up fending for himself on the streets of Florida, had no knowledge that he was an indigenous Australian, committed a crime that sees him to this day locked up in the state's penitentiary. After years of searching for her son, Beverley finally found him. She made the journey over to Florida to the prison to reconnect with her baby Russell. Archie wrote Munjana (meaning trouble) for Beverley.
