How To Make Hay Last Longer On A Small Scale Cattle Farm

We're nearing the end of hay feeding season, but we don't quite have enough to get us where we want to be. We'd like to give the pastures a little bit more time to grow before turning the cows out to graze. So, we're turning to a somewhat unconventional method of making our remaining hay supply last just a little bit longer. It's actually a method that we've been using for the last couple of years on our small scale farm.
