Changing the REEL from 11-blade to 8-blade on my TORO GREENSMASTER 1000

I’ve bought a new 8-blade reel, knife blade, and bearings for my Toro Greensmaster 1000 to achieve a better cut at the 12–14 mm HOC I maintain on my lawn.
This isn’t your typical smooth how-to video—it’s how I did it. Since no videos were available when I made the change, I figured I’d create one. Hopefully, it helps someone out there!
Follow along as I walk you through each step, including the mistakes I made along the way:
00:23 - Remove the old bed knife
02:18 - Gear off
02:56 - Locknut off
03:08 - Shield off (weld to get bolt loose)
04:28 - 11-blade reel out
04:47 - Disassembly of the bearings
06:34 - Reassembly of the bearings with new components
08:01 - Install new 8-blade reel
08:33 - Shield back on (I did this wrong in the first attept!)
08:52 - Locknut back on
09:38 - Shield correction!!
10:39 - Gear back on
11:23 - Tighten locknut
12:00 - Install new bed knife
12:58 - Adjust to cut paper
