Do You Need To EAT FOR PERFORMANCE?
NO!!
My OPINION
Most people can afford to have a drop in performance if they have a decent amount of body fat to lose
Let me explain,
If we reduce Body fat, this will mean our bodies will function better which means performance will increase
So once we have got rid of the extra body fat, we can then start worrying about eating for performance.
HOWEVER,
We can still eat strategically to ensure we get the most out of our performance when eating for fat loss
🌅AM TRAINING
If you training in the morning then train fasted save your calories for later in the day,
maybe grab a protein shake or something high in protein after your training,
then not have a proper main meal until later on in the day.
🕛 LUNCH TRAINING
If you're training at lunch then maybe fast until about an hour before your session,
then have a small snack to get you going,
then train hard and then refuel after that based on your calorie allowance
🌆PM TRAINING
If you train in the evening, I would still recommend fasting for most of the day.
Have your first meal around lunchtime,
then have a small pre-workout snack an hour before training,
then eat a nutritious goal specific meal that’s protein-rich to aid in recovery and growth.

Remember, there are many ways to approach eating for fat loss and we need to find what works best for ourselves and our lifestyle/commitments.
Fasting for me has always been something i’ve quite enjoyed, but it is just one of many tools
