Czech American version of "Beer Barrel Polka" ("Škoda lásky") or ("Rosamunde"), composed by Jaromír Vejvoda in 1925 is one of the most popular songs of brass music in the United States and is mainly associated with the Czech American minority. Americans of Czech ancestry whose heritage is cherised till today are living mainly in the states of North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois and Texas. In 1999 song won global competition World's song of 20th Century.
