And we are off from Douglas to Port Erin on the Isle of Man Steam Railway. This line was built in 1874 and is all that's left of an extensive steam railway network that used to criss-cross the island. Mind you, there's still 15 1/2 miles to ride, so it is a very pleasant 1 hour journey from end to end.
