Malcolm and Donald Campbell, father and son, were legendary British speed record holders. Malcolm Campbell (1885-1948) set multiple land and water speed records in the 1920s and 1930s, driving his famous Blue Bird vehicles. He became the first to surpass 300 mph on land in 1935. Donald Campbell (1921-1967) continued his father's legacy, breaking eight world speed records on water and land in the 1950s and 1960s. He is renowned for being the only person to set both water and land speed records in the same year (1964). Tragically, Donald died attempting another water speed record in 1967. Their relentless pursuit of speed and innovation left an indelible mark on motorsport history.
