3D Printed Grenade Test

3D printed hand grenades are a wild concept. Traditionally, hand grenades are made of metal as it serves as both a durable container and the source of fragmentation. Plastic does not generate fragmentation when subjected to high explosive detonations, so it's not the best material. To get around this, we 3D printed a prototype hand grenade with a frag sleeve around the explosive core. We made several prototypes to test the concept. Today, we test out one of the grenade designs to see if the idea works. 3D printed grenades might just be the future of hand thrown explosive devices on the battlefield.
