I Built a Winter Truck Camper to Hunt Wolves!

To track the most elusive predator in the Rockies, you can't be tethered to a house. You need a mobile basecamp that can move fast and withstand the brutal Montana winter. In this video, I transform a simple used topper into a DIY truck camper designed specifically for a solo wolf hunting expedition.

This isn't a luxury tour; this is a budget build focused on utility and survival. Watch as I frame out a sleeping platform, build a workspace, and fight to weatherproof a missing side window before the snow flies. Once the build is "done," I take the rig out for a solo truck camping test run to see if it can actually support life in sub-freezing temperatures.

I cook a simple meal, battle the cold, and discover exactly what works—and more importantly, what failed. This is the first step in a season-long quest to pit my wits against the Ghost of the Rockies.
