Charlotte police say they have arrested two men they say are responsible for the shooting deaths of two transgender women killed nearly two weeks apart. The arrests come a day after Charlotte's transgender community raised concerns about the victims' deaths.
The first homicide was on Easter Sunday. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police found a woman shot to death inside a west Charlotte hotel. The victim was identified as 29-year-old Jaida Peterson. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Brewer is charged with two counts of murder, two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.
