Filipino wedding beliefs may be old, but their influence isn’t going anywhere — and this capstone proves it.

Wedding Threads unpacks why traditions still shape the choices of modern couples, even in a world where mindsets are shifting fast. After interviewing anthropologists, sociologists, and soon to wed partners, CIITzens Jimi Arboleda, Viejoy Cleofas, Yuan Dela Cruz, and Glorissa Ladislao traced how these beliefs are passed on, reimagined, and lived today.

They turned their research into an animated concept film following a couple navigating the emotional and cultural weight of preparing for a wedding while carrying different beliefs. With surreal 2D and 3D visuals, the film challenges viewers to reflect on how tradition shapes identity and the choices we make.
