Join us for Part 1 of our thru-hike on the stunning Skye Trail — an unofficial long-distance route across the Isle of Skye in Scotland. We started from the very southern tip of the island at the Point of Sleat, with its remote lighthouse, and made our way north, wild camping along the way.
Although the Skye Trail is typically walked north to south (starting in Rubha Hunish and finishing in Broadford), we flipped it — beginning with a hike to the southernmost point, then retracing our steps to Armadale Pier and Broadford before continuing the full route north.
This first section includes remote beaches, coastal paths, and amazing weather. We aimed for ~15 miles per day and carried everything we needed to camp wild.
📍 Route: Point of Sleat → Armadale → Broadford
🎒 Style: Thru-hike, wild camping
🏴 Location: Isle of Skye, Scotland
☀️ Conditions: Sunshine, solitude, and stunning views
Stay tuned for Part 2 as we head deeper into the wild heart of Skye!
